Default Receiver sealing

I bought black baloons, which I plan to encase the receiver with and seal with a few rubber bands to keep water / dirt ect out.
Anyone do this and if so would I lose much reception?
I may use two baloons, and a final bag (ziplock type, so fuel and such doesn't eat thru that one...

Any ideas why this is bad?

I don't know about the ziploc, but the black balloon...jeez, the old tamiya kits like the frog I had used to come with one. I really don't think it has an adverse effect on radio reception. Just do NOT cut the antennae and don't coil it tightly.

Maybe thats why its in my head! My brother had a frog like 15 years ago.
Should work good...I just dont want to get the radio wet.
