Anybody heard of a SAPAC Extra 330L?
I have come across a 3D Extra 330L on ebay made by a company called SAPAC (Chinese).
Kit is RTF with:
B2025 400Kv inrunner, 8:1 gearbox, 18A ESC, 13 x 6.5 prop, 3S 1500Mah Lipo, 9g servos, WFLY 4 ch TX. Thrust = 1050g. weight = 650g.
Price is $180 AU which sounds like a great deal for an entry 3D, but I don't want to buy a dud. More info at
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-EXTRA-330...ayphotohosting
Has anyone seen or flown one of these or had experience with these brands?
cheers..........

It's a great plane! Got mine a couple a days ago, but changed to a hitec reciever, for safety reasons. More than enough power, goes vertically without stopping! I payed $112 for it, and $50 for shippingto Norway..
How was your flying experience with it?

Hi Johnny,
Have a look at the thread at
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_43...tm.htm#5172173
I would very much recommend doing the mods I have suggested as your plane will develop the problems I've outlined sooner or later.
Happy flying!!
Brett

RE: Anybody heard of a SAPAC Extra 330L?
I ordered the model with the bigger motor and extra batteries off the internet, plane flied good, well balanced for pattern flying. Motor crap, burned up after about 5 flights, and only about 10 minute flights at that. Plane torque rolls good and hovers good. Will not knife edge, tail section to weak. Had plenty of power while it lasted. I replaced the motor and gear box with e-flight parts and the plane is still airborne. It is a blast to fly, especially in smaller areas. Landing gear is weak too. Hand launch and land soft.

I'm thinking of this plane...
I've already a 4200KV inrunner motor,a 12A ESC and a lipo 3S 1300mAh..Of course micro servos and receiver!!!
How do you see this setup?
Should i go on?
Thank You!
