Default Need suggestions on paint for Elapor foam

Hi all,

I am building my first electirc glider. It is a Multiplex Easy Glider Pro. I want to paint some bright color on the wings to help me see it better. Can anyone tell me if they have had good success painting ELAPOR foam. If so, what primer, paint, etc is needed to get good adhesion and a nice finish?

Thanks

I use Testors spray paint, don't even prime it, just spray it on. Be aware that you add weight with every coat of primer or paint. For visibility, you might just add a stripe on one wing to be able to dinstiguish left from right. Here is my EZ from last weekend:

I chose a bright coilored spray enamel from my local home improvement store. Went on easy and looks great.

After way to much research on painting Elapor, here's the steps and materials I used on my first Elapor paint job. The finished product is awsome!
1- Light sand with 300 grit.
2- Clean surface with Isopropyl alcohol.
3- Spray light coat of Minwax Water-Based Polycrylic (clear gloss). Should see light gloss finish.
4- Dry
5- Sprayed 2 light coats with Krylon Fusion for Plastic. Let dry between.
6- Touch up areas that need it.

This may seem abit much, but it has worked out great. I've had no peeling or cracking.
