Kyosho Rock Force 2.2
Hi guys,
I am in the midst of completing this rock crawler but would like to seek some advice on the wheel & tire assembly. Do u think I need to tap a small hole in the wheel or just glue the tires without. The instruction manual did not specifically mention this step.
Regards,
Joe Ling

Not sure what you mean?
The kit looks pretty good there, I checked out the Kyosho Promo Video, pretty impressive bit of gear, keep us informed how it performs. Maybe a crawler for me next

Drill the rims. If you don't, the tires will get bouncy. I would really suggest that you only "spot" glue it in a few places if you can. You'll learn that foam setup is critical and having to remove glued rims without damaging the tires can be a pain if not impossible. Now that I think of it, did the kit even come with foams? The one I saw at my LHS didn't have any. You'll NEED foams...

I would ditch the kit tires and get yourself a good set of Panther Cougars.
The Losi Claws and Pro Line Hammers in the G8 compound would also be better than the stock tires.

Guys,
Thanks for the input. I'm a newbie in rock crawling so I know nothing. The kit did not come with any foams at all. I think getting some after market tires & wheels & foams will be a good idea too. For the time being, I'm eager to get everything together so i can run the kit.
