Default savage shift?

Just broke in new savage SS, Great so far, but can't tell if trans is shifting. No noise, engine difference. Tuned engine a little so far. Still smokes like crazy on full throttle.

Hold it off the ground and slowly move the throttle up, you'll hear it shift...

tried that already, called HPI said to get the tune done first. I thought it should still shift, right?

tune, then try to get your trans working...always tune before you mess with the trans...you should of left it alone, It was probably just fine...CCW is earlier, Right?if so, its probably shifting too early for you to hear now, turn it back to where it was and leave it untill you get your truck tuned.

Turning it in will shift at a higher RPM, and turning it out will make it shift earlier...I think of it as leaner=better top end and rich=boggy low-end

Thanks, will get trans set back and finish tune! Comon problem for the 4.6 to smoke fairly heavy at higher RPM's? It seems to have plenty of low end power.

There should always be a healthy trail of smoke, but too much=too rich
