Default How do I clean my engine internally?

Hi, I was just wondering how I would go about cleaning my engine internally.. Is there anything I can run through it to clean it?? Thanks

The one thing I know of, I believe its called After run. Cleans all of the left over mung out and prevents the nitro from turning into gum.

I'm just looking for things around the house I could use (I.E WD-40, water, lol I dont know)

Why would you want to clean the insides? Did something fall in the carb?

I don't think so I was just curious on how it would be done just in case I get sand in it by accident, (I drive it in the desert).

If you get sand in your engine, stop it immediately and take it to your local hobby shop to be dismantled and cleaned if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself. There's nothing you can run through it to get sand or grit out without damaging the piston and sleeve, along with the bearings.

Use wd-40.It will clean it out real good and lube it up nice also.

So just spray WD-40 in my carb and pull the pull start to get it around?

no, dont pull the pull start dude, take it apart and spray everything out with WD 40, if you pull it around, you are going to scrape the sand and whatever else up against the P/S and it will scar the sides of it. That will eventually cause premature engine failure.

he hasnt got sand in it yet have you!! if u use a good air fiter and run it with a body and clean the airfilter reguarly it should be fine just give it a squirt of wd40 and give it a couple of tugs

Nah I haven't gotten sand in it yet I was just curious about how I clean the engine internally.
