It came directly from the repair shop in Germany - I had not seen one like it untill now, at least there is one in Finland!!

I don't believe that is true. I was told that a few months ago when 'someone' tried to sell me one as a new 'higher output' version. All sounded too fishy to me so I spoke to Graupner. They confirmed it would have been a reconditioned test engine of some sort.

This engine is NOT a genuine 'new' branded Graupner Booster. I spoke to Tor and he confirmed this too.

You should be very happy yours didn't come with a shiny case!

Mark, you may be right then. I was under the impression when I was speaking to them on my warranty that it was a new engine. They asked me if a shiny case was okay, I said yes, but when it arrived; it was indeed my old engine. I think you are also right that it was probably better I didn't get it!
