Default Some pics from RI

Hi Guys,

Caught up with a few guys who were running in RI yesterday. I was unfortunately boatless but brought along the camera. Great to see a few more RCU faces
Still images of boats runniing shy of 80mph definately misses something though

Hey Matt, is the black/puple a drag cat? Looks like it is really flying, is it just a mod zenoah?
Great pics

Indeed it is a Drag cat - she is Wallys (Tahoe1970 here on RCU). Believe she was running consistantly 78-79mph. Modded 260 zen.

Do you have any info on the 2 monos? I think that green hull looks great, who makes it?

Thanks for the compliments guys.

Camera is a Canon 40D and an older 35-350mm lens which are both decent models though now there are some good deals on since both were recently superceeded. I am hoping to upgrade to a slightly slower model 5D mk11 with a little more resolution soon as the wife allows. The 40D can take up to 6 1/2 pics per second and is much easier to get good pics with than other non DSLR digitals I have used over the years since there is virtually no shutter lag. [link=http://imageevent.com/justaddwata/warwick309]I shot around 1200 pics [/link]but to be honest most of the other pics came out great too - just the subject was not as interesting at different times. (I did upload full versions of every pic though ).

Larry, The crackers were being driven by Rick and Rick

Chief - not sure which monos you are mentioning. The Green cracker Box belongs to Rick here on RCU. He said it is an old WHH hull I believe - some 10 years old. The other cracker box I am not sure about. The other monos were an Insane Vee (yellow and Blue) and an Green and Grey Hertzog Hurricane Mono. There are also a couple of pics of a yellow vee but the name is escaping me at the moment.

Matt,
Thanks so much for all you did. The pictures are absolutely GREAT!! I can't believe all the "air shots"!! All in all, we had a great day.
Next time I hope you bring a boat or two!!
Thanks again,
Rick C.

Larry,
Bring on those Crackerboxes!! Rick and I had a blast with ours! They run pretty even so we had a blast in the turns!
Hope to see you soon.
Rick C.

Larry,
I kind of put in on the back burner. I built that Hurricaine mono instead of finishing the I-Box. I need to get back on that. The boat is all built. The bottom needs to be painted, and the whole boat needs to be sanded (I hate sanding) and finish coated. Then the running gear. I was anxious to get the Hurricaine done. I still have my old WH Cracker to run as you saw.
Rick
