Tranny Question
Took my savy out today to get it all dialed in and it wouldn't shift into second (two speed by the way), I spent half an hour adjusting the shift point and nothing. So I knew something was up, took it in and tore into the tranny and found out that one of the three little screws had come out and was jammed in between the two plastic gears[:@]. All the teeth were still intacked and there really wasn't too much damaged, so i put here back together with the two screws and tried it again thinking it would work but that wasn't the case[sm=48_48.gif]. Just wondering if this has happend to any of you guys and whats the solution?? Buy a new tranny off ebay for $25 ?

RE: Tranny Question
this has happened to me three times and in all cases i bought a new one. after those three i bought a 3 speed and never had a problem with the tranny since that time.
note i was really hard on mine so it may not be the case with yours

RE: Tranny Question
I have 3 spare 2nd gear in my tool box at all times hpi part # 76924, they are only a couple bucks each.
Try the 2 speed again, but put it back to factory settings as you may be way off target right now due to changing it before you seen the missing screw. Also, take another look inside, that screw has to be somewhere. It will wedge into anything inside there and I also loctite mine.
