Default cheap tire foams

me and the wife were at joann fabric this morning when i thiught of this. i was in need of some soft tire foams for my wheely king and noticed the sheets of foam there. i got the 1 inch sheet that was like 24"x24" for like 6 bucks. i cut them how i wanted and it worked out great. and i have enough left over to do at least 4 more sets.

On that same note, I was at costco and saw memory foam dog beds for like 30 bucks. If you had a way to cut it out, you could have a seriously huge amount of memory foams for cheap. Not sure about the quality of the foam, but I can't imagine there is anything that special about the Proline foamseither, for example.

So which way works best then? I have memory foam that I have not cut. I was thinking that i would cut it in the star pattern but I heard that cutting memory foam might not be needed? What are some personal experiences please?

go to Wal-Mart, get a memory foam pillow (flat one, no hump) for $20, it's good enough for 4 foams AND they're memory foams
