I HATE TRANNYS
Ok before everyone tells me to search the forums i have been for 3 days! (Not trying to be a jerk but i've seen other posts about searching) I still cant find my problem. I just got my T-Maxx running after 6 months vacation with my Savage. I started it up, gave it some gas and NOTHING. I checked my gear mesh, double checked the spur gear, the center driveshafts and pins! My diffs are fine.
So i took the tranny out because that is the only thing i can narrow it down to. With the transmission out no matter how fast i spin the spur gear the output shafts stay still. I have taken the tranny apart 3 times and everything looks fine when i compare it to the exploded views on the traxxas website.
When i spin the output shafts should the spur gear move?
Can you guys give me any ideas to what could be wrong??? My LHS is about 30 minutes away and i hate going in there cus i feel like i have failed (which so far i have) im getting ready to throw in the towel. PLEASE ANYTHING WILL HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Eric

Sounds like the old PITA tranny pin. Did you check the pin in the primary shaft? Alot of times it'll sheer which is hard to spot since all the gears look good. It'll cause the primary gear to just spin on the shaft. I had it happen on my stock 2.5 maxx.
You won't get your truck to move by spinning the spur no matter how fast you spin it... that's just how it is. If you have a FOC kit then it should move with the spur but if you have reverse it won't go anywhere by hand.

Fellas thanks for the responses. checked the pin and its in one piece. Im going to tighten the slipper all the way down and try it. If it works then I will back it off a little. Thanks Eric
