Default Homemade Strip, Square and Triangle Stock

Just sharing with you all how I make my own. With the use of a Dremel Moto Shop anda bit of perspex sheet. Slot the sheet and drill holes in the table of the say and then you can adjust the distance between the sheet and blade for whatever size you need See Photos. Sheet balsa is a lot cheaper that square or triangle stock, I got the Dremel moto Shop back in the late 70's and have been using this to make all my stock. I also stocked up on blades as they were almost impossiable to get here a few years ago.

Cheers</p>

I like making as much of my own stuff as possible. I buy all sheet balsa and cut sticks and stuff. On my smaller stuff, especially electric, I'll even make my on plywood control horns and bellcranks. If I need them stronger I have some circuit board material, and some aluminum angle I use for heavy control horns.

Just though I would share as I was starting my next model. Very handy when you have to make odd sized stock. See Photo.

The plastic fence is what I like because it is low and makes working the thinner stock much easier, especially when passing it through at an angle.

You can also use it for cutting the end of sheets to 45deg for joining. The perspex sheet that I use is only 1/4" thick. Use wingnuts on the two bolts for easy adj.

Charles, I also use lazer line tool for getteing the center line on long lengths. Two 36" length sheets joined shown.

That laser line thing. Ingenious!

But you have to explain it a bit further? Is the tool in the photo?A Home Depot stock item?

Am I old school by just drawing a line with a pen?

Drawn lines for over 40 years.

Charles, I used to do the same thing. The lazer line thing is a tool by Black &amp; Decker that I got on special somewhere about 5 years ago. Came in handy when I retiled my bathroom. The longest ruler that I have is 40" long, so when using longer sheet or just to get a center line on something it is great. Not so good in bright sunlight. Just seen a part # BDL200S don't know if it will help.

Cheers
