Default Is this soldering iron good??

My friend just gave me an old soldering kit that had never been used. Its the Weller model 8200PK- All purpose Soldering Gun Kit. Its a Dual Soldering Gun meaning it can have 100/140 watts. I was wondering how good this iron is??

Thanks ~Marines

Yah wellers are all good pretty much. Just watch out 100watts is overkill if you leave it on to long
especially on batts.

I have that iron. It's great for big stuff, just be careful when soldering smaller jobs, as it doesn't take too long to heat up enough to melt wire insulation 1/4" away from where you're working. Guess how I know Since it's a little unwieldy, I'd get one of those "helping hands" type things with poseable alligator clips to hold small wires, etc in place while you work.
