Default Slicks

What are the advantages to them i run mainly street IE: pavement , concrete I'm not a racer or dragster i like running laps and doing power slides "drifting" so if i used slicks would it take longer to hook up traction wise and would they be any good for me? or would it make for some interesting slides?

I have no first hand experience with slicks so any help you can give me would be great.

Default RE: Slicks

if you want less traction, then slicks are not the way to go, numerous companies make drift tyres..

Default RE: Slicks

Well I'm not looking to buy I'm trying to find out just what slicks do.

Do they add more traction or less since they have no pattern to the rubber ?

Would i slide more in corners if i ran slicks or would i grip the corner and not slide or spin out ?

Whats the difference in drift tires as apposed to slicks ?

Besides all these drift tires seem to small for a evader.

Depending on the compound on each set of tires, Slicks will have more traction.

No pattern on rubber means more surface contact = more grip. (only on dry surfaces tho) You can still spin out tho depending on how you control your throttle.

Drift tires are hard rubber/plastic, slicks are soft rubber compound.

Slicks heat up and stick better for racing just like the F1 cars when they warm up the tyres.
Like said above drift tyres are a harder compound so slip on contact losing traction causing big drifts
