What kind of car do you want? 1/10, 1/8 or even 1/5? Do you like buggies, monster trucks or stadium trucks? Nitro or electric? Do you like tuning or do you like plug and play? All decisions your going to have to make. Some good starter cars are the Traxxas Slash, Rustler VXL, the Losi Desert truck, HPI's Firestorm or the Savage. All good trucks. You buy rc cars because they are fun. Why else?

That's a weird question really. Everyone could give you their own reasons but that doesn't mean you'd feel the same way. You have to try it to know whether you'll enjoy it (just like with most things in life).

You definitely have to drive one to see if you're interested. Check out videos and stuff online, and if that seems exciting to you see if you can locate a track/club/hobby shop nearby. A lot of people spend lots of money on their first car only to realize they're not actually that interested, but then again many of us get hooked .

well if you like cars and trucks and automotive things then youll probly love nitro rc cars. its so fun tuning the car to your liking and upgrading parts to better more high performance ones to see how fast you can get your car to go. and you get a big thrill and satisfaction from building you own car and starting it for the first time and seeing if what you built actually runs and drives its so satisfying if you have friends into the hobby its even better

Bradley....

You ever hear that old Harley Davidson addage that goes along the lines of:

"Why do you ride a Harley?"

"If I have to explain it to you, you wouldn't understand it."

It's kinda something like that.

As far as thrills go....you can do all of the crazy, reckless s#$* you always wanted to do with a dirt bike/dune buggy/car etc. and cause no bodily harm to yourself. Unless you run into your shin doing 50mph! Also, you definitely need to be mechanically inclined you will be wrenching as much as you are driving. In my opinion...just as fun! Good Luck!
