Default PROBLEM WITH ESC

i use a novak esc on my hpi rs4 and when i plug the esc into my motor my front wheels wont respond and the motor makes this high pitched whine... and then when i disconnect it from the motor the front wheels steer...is my esc fried or could it be somthing else...the motor works and spins strong and the receiver is good....

Some friendly advice: When posting in R/C forums, post the name of the company or product name in your thread title. Then company reps are more likely to read your question.

Having said this, you will probably need to email [email protected] with your question. Please make your initial email as detailed as possible. Include:

which Novak esc (new/used)
motor (brand/wind)
radio system (receiver/transmitter)
servo used
battery, brand (c rating/capacity)
any external modules (BEC/brand)
other important info: water damage, corrosive chemical sprays, etc

The more information you provide in your email, the more quickly tech support can offer you assistance.
