fuel question
right now im running my car on 20%nitro fuel but my local rc shop told me to run it on 5%nitro fuel. If i change fuel do i need to retune the engine

Sounds like your LHS has a large stock of 5% nitro they can't get rid of and are trying to dump on people.
Stick with your 20% for good all-round performance and engine life span.

Uhmmm....switch back to the 20% and re-tune your engine. Do you not know how to tune your engine? Is that why you sent it to the LHS to get tuned? Let us know, plenty of people here who are willing to give you a few pointers on tuning.

I thought 5% was for planes, not ground vehicles. I read somewhere to not go below 10% nitro in a ground RC. I will try to find the info, but I'm not sure which magazine or manufacturer it came from. Switch back to 20% and re-tune the engine. It's not hard to tune it, you just gotta learn. If you need help, post back on here, or send me a PM and I will help you get it right.

yeah i sent it to my LHS to get it tuned and he said i would need 5% because the fuel that i had was to old. And i dont want to send it back again.

30 to 20% nitor with no more then 12% oil content. When you change set your carb back to a little liner then factory settings and re tune. Tuning is something you have to do daily do to any weather changes so the best thing to do is to learn to tune your self. Are there any clubs or tracks near you? Best place to get help as hobby shops only have on thing in mind to make money any way they can.

no there isnt. so im goin to buy 20% nitro fuel and if i try to start it would it start. Im not sure if he tuned it with 5% fuel but he definately said to run it with that. and the guy that tuned it wasnt the guy that said to run
