xl rwd more fun than 4wd.
yesterday me and my cousin were fixing my t-maxx and his xl and when we finished his xl we found out that my breaks wouldn't work if i used the the front axles so i had the only rwd truck for the whole day yesterday, until my cousin lost one of his axles and took out the other one for fun and man the xl was so much faster and powerful.

[insert blown diff here?]
But seriously he is most definitely right, by removing the front diff you are putting even more stress on the rear diff, and quite frankly, it seems like some savage diffs cannot even handle 4WD. The only time where 2WD would be safe IMO is in the snow, and man are 2WD-locked savages with paddles fun during the winter.
Anyways, put the front diff in before you blow your rear (no pun intended )

You lost a dogbone on a Savage? I have not managed that one yet, even bent they stayed in. I know what you are talking about with rear wheel drive only though. Kind of cool the way they spin donuts without the front tires throwing the truck around. Glen

yeah i have no clue how it fell out but i know the truck has a lot of repair time on it, has been taken apart 15 or 16 times and that is without the previous owner so something must have not been put back together properly. and now you don't have to worry about blowing the front tires while pulling a wheelie.

With a locker in the rear and a p-3 mine would snap front dog bones every time I did donuts with it got tiered of replacing dog bones so I took the locker out

Well having a locked diff on asphalt especially with our huge tires puts lots of stress on those parts. I like 2WD for doing speed runs and driving in loose conditions for kicks, but 4WD is so much better for jumping/stunting and general off roading. Braking distance is increased at least 2X with 2WD, nothing like needing 60ft for slowing the truck down from WOT .
