Default Has anybody had experience with AA powered glow igniter?

I lost 3 glow igniters so far and is now looking for a cheap one on Ebay and came across this:

How well do these work? I don't mind changing the battery often as long as it can start my engine

That should be plenty considering most ignitors only use 1.5 volts (those two cells in that configuration will be putting out 3 volts) and most Ni-MH celled ones use only 1.2V.

When fully charged they are around 1.5 volts.

And I would go with the Hobbico hot Shot, Super or original. I have the original one (1500mah batter) and I love it!

The AA ones work fine, though I prefer the ones with larger or rechargeable batteries.

Its gonna be easier to lose one of the AA ones because they are smaller, haha.

Get some rechargeable AA, 2500 mah will last you awhile. Lasts much longer than the other types of ignitors.

How do you lose glow plug ignitors

We always share igniters among friends and at the end of the day, I always forget to pick it up and ends up lost. Next time, I ask them where my igniter went, no body knows

I've always used a D-Cell Ofna ignitor. I've had the same one for 8 years and it's never given me a problem. Some of my buddies use the AA ignitors and they work fine, but they have to replace the battery more often. Every rechargeable ignitor I've used has only given me a season or two of service, then kicked the bucket.
