RE: da-50 ignition
If you disconnect the plug from the DA ignition, will you see a spark in the cap when you pass the hall sensor? I dont see one or hear the telltale clicking sound when its disconnected and I also dont seem to be getting any continuity when I test the leads coming from the ignition...Any help?

Electronic ignitions of all types are typically silent when activated. One or two may have some kind of "beep" but the vast majority do not. Even when functioning providing spark to the plug there will generally be no noise from the ignition. The only noise to be heard with a functional ignition will be the sound of an electrical arc at the plug electrode if the plug was removed from the engine or the sweet sound of raw power passing through the exhaust pipe(s).
I agree with the others. If you're hearing something with the ignition turned on run like the wind. Sucker coiuld have been packed and ticking down the time to explosion

No sounds. Got to flip the prop to get sounds!
You won't see a spark between the cap and plug when you rotate the prop slowly. DA's ignition requires a swift flip of the prop for the ignition to spark. Just a safety feature.
Call or email DA if you have problems. They are quite helpful.

the only way that you can hear the ingition/spark is by removing the plug from the engine and rotate the propeller, you see the spark on the gap and see it.
