Default Stryofoam repair

Hi all,

I have a couple questions. First, s a stryofoam plane is what you call a Foamy? Second, what is the best way to fix stryofoam planes, i used hot glue and some really sticky medical tape and it seems to work good for me, but I don't know how long or well it will last and if there is a perferred method of repair.

I searched a little and haven't really found any topics on this.

Thanks.

white glue or epoxy work fine too.....
along with foam safe CA

most foamies are made from Depron or EPP they are similar to styrofoam, but not the same.

Hotglue works well for strength and filling around breaks were material is missing. I use clear silicone from the hardware store where I need more working time.

Be careful with the hot glue. Actually, use the "low-temp" glue and you won't take a chance on melting your plane. Dual heat guns are available. Be sure to buy the low temp or dual temp glues, too.

Don't ask me how I know this... ha Rich
