With the big block conversions on the market why would Traxxas release one? And the 3.3 T-Maxx is pretty close to 1/8 anyways.

Its not like this was based on the revo or anything so it is at least somewhat new.

From looking at the pics the 4wd Slash is an all new truck from the ground up, that can also handle the Mamba Monster system.

^ I have to agree with you. I have both nitro and electrics...all my electrics are gone except for my son's Stampede.

The 4WD Slash is a nice looking truck but would I ever buy one...probably not.

Yea I was disappointed as well. I was very much looking foward to a new & true 1/8 scale truck. I'm not into the stadium trucks. Oh well, we'll see what happens this fall. I need someting to put on my Christmas list besides a Savage XL.

because the t maxx will get its ass handed to it if it was bashing with a savage all afternoon. the maxx's plastic drivetrain and gears are not good compared to the savages all metal. anyway why would you want to buy a conversion if you have to buy the original truck first, then the motor, then the drivetrain that can handle the power... you end up spending way over what you would spend to buy a stock truck that is already a big block 1/8 scale. and yes the 4x4 slash does look cool and would be fun for a while... but it is a racing truck and you cant really ramp it other than ramps that have landings like a course. you could tear it up in the lawn or driveway or street but monster trucks are so much cooler because you can do so much more with them.

lately they have been remaking/resizing cars in different versions. A poll here said that most wanted an 8th scale of some sort... by the way, when i mentioned about my poll here on traxxas forums my post was deleted and thread closed []

I don't think too many of the nitro diehards will be happy until Traxxas does a bigger, better, stronger, true 1/8th scale MT of some sort. Atleast give us a more potent nitro engine to try...that's what I am asking for. After having a couple nitro Revos (both with 3.3s) do you think I am going to drop another 3.3 into one of them when the time comes? I love my 3.3s (especially my modded one) but after a while it becomes a bit boring and that "bigger is better" bug keeps biting. They release the Slash 4X4 with a great brushless system out of the box with the ability to drop in the MMM...on upto 6 cells of lipo power...that is insane. How about the same courtesy for us nitro lovers...a larger, more powerful 3.3 would sure be nice.

I'm with whoever said they wanted a gasser Revo... something to compete with the Baja 5B and 5T... although I don't have the money for one, I'd buy one used if the opportunity showed up... my old Monster Buggy is showing it's age of design...

i agree 100% with that statement! i asked for a 1/8 scale of some sort, i mean lets face it they have never made an 1/8 scale anything and the slash looks like its designed more for racing, like the revo. the only true backyard basher traxxas has is the maxx series, which has been around forever with only subtle IMO changes. dont get me wrong i love my maxx but i think its time for something new for us indestructible mt drivers. i was soooo hoping id see something along the lines of a losi lst or a savage, something with a big engine that doesnt need to be so heavily upgraded to handle any real power... plus backyard bashers make up a much bigger portion of the rc market than actual racers do. o well right
