new boat problems
hi ,i am new to this i bought new blackjack 26 cat boat,having problems getiing to run out right,seems to take off ok revs good then falls flat almost like shifted to higher gear,then will just die for no reason if you slow down,any help would be appreciated,thanks bryan

thanks ,ill try adjusting more,put back to stock then adjusted doesnt seem to help much,it seems to rev fine at first but doesnt go very fast then when it picks up speed it starts almost like it lugs down,i am new to these little motors,it ran fine in river ,then sat awile and now its being finicky,if you think of anything else i might try,please let me know,thank you much bryan

OK, this is the gas boat forum, the nitro forum is one flight up!
Seeing how I do both, hopefully I can help you. What it appears to be to me is that the carb is running lean.
OK, from there, look at your glow plug to see how it looks if there are any coils left. Messed up clean coils are a sure sign of a lean condition.
When you start it onshore, blip the throttle. If it revs quickly, it's lean. You want a slight bog when you hit the throttle as the load of the prop in the water will lean it further out.
Being in Illinois the weather is a little cooler there right now so if you ran it in the past few days so cooler air needs a richer high-speed needle setting. You're also getting colder water into the cooling system which makes nitro boats run like crap this time of the year.
