Just in case some of you guys buy bulk-pump Kero at Ace Hardware like I do ... see http://www.acehardware.com/coupon/index.jsp - a coupon for Sat 11/28 only, that lets you get 50% (up to $15) off one item.

It does mention using the Ace Rewards card, on the coupon's instructions to the cashier.

We just came back from Ace thouhg, having bought kero for 3 guys - one of which had no rewards card, and that was no problem. Worked out to be $15.82 for a 5 gallon can.

It may vary from store to store. My local one pumps it, but it's the cleanest pumped kero I've ever found. Around here, places like Rotten Robbie et al are usually cheaper than Ace, but have dirt & water in their pumped kero. I've been using Ace pumped kero for about 9 years now, as it's usually around 50% cheaper than buying 5 gallon cans from OSH / Home Depot etc.

It's probably cheaper than the above $15.82 price in many other areas, given how much cheaper regular gas is when bought almost anywhere other than in Norcal

Here on the radio the Ace ad states that anyone can get the 50% off...I called the Ace store closest to me and a 5 gallon can of kero is $40...[:@]....Even with the discount ($15) it's still way more expensive than the pump kero that I'm buying...I'm getting pump kero for $17.50/5 gallons....

Oh well, it was worth a shot...

Yeah - pre-canned kero generally tends to be pretty darn expensive unless you can get a season-end clearance sale. That's why I switched to pumped stuff many years ago.
