The stock shoes in the leading edge orientation work well for me with the 3.3. as long as your not running large heavy wheels/tires.
The MIP 2 shoe clutch is a direct replacement for the factory shoes and work well with the 3.3 in the leading edge orientation as well.

With any engine larger or that’s putting out more torque than the 3.3 its wise to invest in a 3 shoe 1/8th scale setup. Aluminum shoes require more maintenance then carbon shoes do but grip very well when they get some heat in them.

One of the few topics were you wont get beat up for suggesting Integy. Thier 3 pices Aluminum Clutch works well with the 3.3.

stick with the stock clutch...i use it with my revo big block and it hold up good. very little slip and it last a long time...alum. shoes are nice, but they require more maintenance and dont last as long..also they are more expensive.

My spring broke and the pads come of the two pins that hold em in on the standard revo clutch. There junk.
Get a 3 shoe, plastic or alloy, l preffer plastic ones, and they last forever. Well not forever ever but u get it.

lol 6 responses all with different answers......nice!.......from myexperience with a 3piece aluminum clutch on my buddies revo bb losi 427,it lasted about 20 mins.huge waste of money! ive never heard anything bad about an MIP clutch......ive never even seen or heard about a plastic clutch,so i have no comment on that......a guy at my hobby store told me i should switch to a 1/8scale HPI clutch and fly wheel when i start running the picco .26 in my tmaxx.....and if none of this helps my best words of advice is to listen to snookman (he seems to know his s%#t)

Snook rocks!

I'll add that I had an MIP and it suckt. More brittle than a stocker, in my experience with the one I had. Got a Werks Racing 4 shoe rulon shoed and I like it a lot! A bit of a pain to set up, a tad on the pricey side but it stays set-up for quite a few visits to the track. I have yet to replace the shoes.
