Default HORIZON HOBBY

this is messed up! .. i placed a order with horizon hobby 2/11/2010 they deducted the money from my credit card 476.00 on the 11th. the 12th they send me a e-mail stating that my card can't be used for the order because the billing and shipping address don't match "i've ordered several times with the card and no problems" and they need a different card. the card i use online is a prepaid card for security reasons. so we cancelled the order and horizon gauranteed me that my credit card wasn't touched. well come to find out this morning that they pulled the cash anyway with the order being cancelled ... if they couldn't use the card why did they remove the money from the card? LOL ... infuriated over this, should have never happened.

Often times when a credit card transaction gets canceled the funds charged as a hold for a day or too, it should clear up.

People make mistakes. I"d call them (not e-mail them) and get it cleared up while still on the phone. Check to see if they have a 1-800 number so you don't get a BIG phone bill.

i spent a good hour on the phone with them today, only to find out that they got me tied up for a few days ........ but my whole point is .... why deduct the money from your card if they aren't gonna ship .

It's the way a lot of businesses operate. In my business, being a Dell Corporate Reseller, when I order a product, they instantly deduct it from my account. Then when I check on things, the money is BACK in my account and it isn't charged until the actual product is shipped. Go figure.
