Not sure on buggy vs truggy
I don't know guys, not sure what I will do regarding buying a buggy or a truggy. I am looking at a decent rtr 1/8 scale (must be rtr, I cannot AFFORD a kit). Basically it comes down to Cen Matrix buggy and Cen Matrix TR Arena, and a Hot Bodies Lightning Stadium Sport. The Matrix buggy seems above average for an RTR, but my mind was convinced on a truggy, because I won't be driving on groomed surfaces that much. I am trying to stay under $300. Is a truggy much much better for casual off-track driving? Also if anyone owns those models listed, what upgrades are promptly needed (if any.......maybe servos). Thanks.

RE: Not sure on buggy vs truggy
truggies tend to be more forgiving but you have to remember cost. truggy tires are getting pricy and that kinda turned me off 1/8th scale and truggys in particular. plus to go either bl/lipo or stay nitro either way you wind up spending a good chunk of change either all at once or over time.
i say go with the one that makes you happiest. if i went with a truggy, id go top end and pricy but thats just me, the lower end truggies do just as well they just may have more limited parts support and not have a name to pay for like ae, losi, kyosho, mugen, xray, etc
