Hello all,
I have had a stab tube on order for my Super X since Thanksgiving. They are telling me that they are not avialable currently. I'm desperate to fly my airplane I'm hoping I can pick one up from someone who may have some spare parts laying around. Please let me know.

What is the OD of the tube?? I am sure you can find a tube that is suitable and use that until the actual one comes into stock.

Don't be so sure,
The socket measures .420 to .410 13/32" or roughly 10.5mm. I've found 10 and 11mm CF tube but no half sizes. Any ideas?

This place can custom make you a tube that will work. Unsure of what it will cost but it is worth a try . There is a custom request on the website or you could just call them.

I once had an older discontinued Aeroworks Edge that needed a new wing tube and couldn't find an exact fit anywhere either, I just bought the closest O.D carbon tube I could find (about 6 mm or so) smaller and very lightly sanded it for good adheshion and sprayed several uniform coats of epoxy paint (black to match) until it fit nice and snug. Doesn't take much. Worked well for several years.[sm=49_49.gif]

You can get the 10mm tube and wrap it around with a thin layer of fiberglass cloth. Epoxy it down, and sand smooth.

Thanks guys, a lot of great ideas! Buying a smaller one and spray painting it with Epoxy is a great idea. I'll let you know how it goes.
