The trim tabs look very low.

As to the paint, all that matters is: are YOU happy?

It may just be the angle of the picture you have taken but they do look flush with the bottom.

Take a look at the picture below. The trim tabs should not be flush with the bottom of the hull but at least an 1/8 of an inch above the bottom.

Id move them up so there 1/16 up off the bottom just slot the holes a bit and move them up and retighten job done.Reason for this is as they are they will cause lots of drag, moving them up a touch stops this but that said tabs cause drag anyway when used to trim the hull which is why i dont use them lol.Paint job looks fine good luck with it and welcome to gas boats.

I hoped you'd used some good clear/urethane on it? Or otherwise that gas will attack that nice paint job..This one was rattle caned on and was sprayed over with automotive urethane clear on it..

Thanks for the replys!!

I did three coats of clear urethane. Now I need to go back over with 800 wet sanding and re clear once it warms up.

I'll try running with no trim tabs as I still have a ton of adjustment on the strut.

Thanks again for all the invaluable help.

On a seprate toppic, I'm looking for folks who want to get involved in the Lake Tahoe Air Show. I'm looking for RC Pilots, and any one interested in bringing models to our static display. (Surface or Air)

Thanks

dont use 800.. just wet sand it with 1000-1200 grit and re clear it..if theres no dust in that paint job? just go over your boat with a gray scotchbright pad then clear it..
