In Shock.... Craigslist purchase story inside
You guys aren't going to believe what I acquired today. Well mostly you won't believe how much I paid for it. Its a 27% Extra 260 I believe. Its has a all fiberglass fuse, G38 powering it, Hitec digitals all the way around, futaba PCM receiver (7 channel, works PERFECTLY with my T6Xas). The surprising thing is everything WORKS. Servo's all move in the right direction, it even has a tx controlled killswitch in it. I bought it from an older gentleman who had bought it for the engine only. He decided that he didn't need it and listed it on craigslist. The price on cl was 225, I jumped out of my chair and called the man, while talking to him said he might be interested in a smaller electric 3d airplane. I brought along my nitro planes brushless yak 54 with me and a deal was struck, I traded the yak and 120 for the Gasser! It has been used and has some hangar rash that i can repair with a bit of covering and some touch up paint. I was told it is Quadrotech airframe, tt weighs in the 13 pound range so it most likely won't be a great 3d machine but should be great for tooling around the sky and doing imac type stuff. It had a gyro installed, which I promptly ripped out With no further ado, pics!

Zach,
Great find!
Gee, wings and tail look "empty." Those large white areas could use something decorative. Hummm, I wonder what?
Hey! I got it! How about some free "Charlie's Flying Circus" lettering and graphics? That's right, and did I say free? I guess I did.
That could work.
Sorry, only CFC stuff, "Charlie's Flying Circus" stuff is free.
Let me know and we can work on the size and color.
Maybe my web address on the stab, and my upside down, "Go for it!" on the fuselage sides.
Charles

I have a similar story that happened twice. A friend of mine recently sold me a 47% Velox with a ZDZ 210 engine. He told me that he found it at a local online auction house, and since nobody knew what it was, it sold VERY cheap. So cheap, that when he sold it to me, including some money for him, the price that I paid was less then the price of the engine alone.
Now I have a question....
Why? What is wrong with a good gyro on an airplane? do you want to get rid of it? I might need one for my airplane. All the gyros that I have are being used on my helis....

Yep battery setup needs to go just testing the servos out. And Charles, i'd love to do some graphics. Maybe do some Extra 260 lettering on the wing area and then whatever company stuff you have I could fit wherever else (website and such)
