Just working on tons of foamys right now for indoor flying, as far as Giant scale, I'm gonna be purchasing one next month... I'm thinking about going 35%, but I got all this stuff for 30% planes around so I might just go that route.

Julio makes good props. I am the exclusive importer for the USA and have 23x7 and 23x8 in stock along with many other sizes.

www.wrongwayrc.com

What we have found with the 23x7 is a couple more rpms than the 23x8 so you get the benefit of the larger disc giving a bigger air flow area over the control surfaces with a little more pull out. If you 50cc is very strong you stand a chance of having more prop noise, that is the downfall. In that case I might go with the 23x8.

Way back when... on my first 50cc I had a 22x8 and 23x8 prop and liked what each would do but wanted best of both...IMO that the 23x7 can be just that.

Hey Tim, your 25x7 went out yesterday.....let me know how it works on that other engine.

This is the 23x8

The wood is different. This is Pau Marfim (translates to Ivory Wood) and is more dense/stronger than birch. Wood will still break but these props can take a certain amount of hangar rash/ground strikes before they go.

Here is the 23x7 on my now sold 88 EF Yak, the plane was near 18 lbs and I did not know it at the time but the rings had a problem so power was not all there.

Great combo, did nothing but hinges and check glue joints 16.5 dry DL w/s/line

Dude Skip, I just bought this plane, its gonna show up @ my house in a day or two. 16.5 lbs is great, what exactly do you have in it for equipment. I see the DL and the pitts muffler, what about batteries and servos ? Hows it holding up ?

Thanks Dude !

OK guys, I have purchased the plane that I'm going to build next... Its the GoldWing RC 88" Yak-55SP V2 http://www.goldwingrc.com/en/ProductView.asp?ID=159

it can be purchased from a few places... U.S. www.Topdawgaviation.com formerly Dietrich aircraft, or U.K. www.Globalrc.co.uk
Also there are the older versions floating around out there... the Dawghouse yak-55 or the peakmodel yak-55.

If you are familiar with the OMP 50cc Yak-55SP made by EG aircraft then then you should be slightly familiar with the construction of this plane. They are very similar in design, just a few changes in the motor box and the way the inside is laid out. Also it seems as the canopy on the OMP is not as bubbly as the Goldwing one.

The color scheme I picked is close to the Comp ARF Yak-55SP butterfly scheme (just a different color) http://www.carf-models.com/public_ca...riant&proId=38
(oh yeah, Dan Check out the way the canopy is separated on the CARF yak)

I like this one because the colors match the extra 330L so now I don't have to repaint the pilot if I put him in the yak!

Once I start the build I will post a link to the thread.

Oh, and the engine is a DL-55v2 I bought the plane and engine as a combo.
