Default bearing problems

i bought 5x11x4 rubber sealed ball bearings for my traxxas rustler vxl and they way too big for my stock steering blocks. in the manual, it said that the bearings will fit. i already returned them. what should i do?

You most likely were sold the wrong size bearings. The 5X11X4 bearings are the correct size for the stock blocks front and rear, inner and outer.

Also where did you get them? I bought some bulk quantities of eBay bearings a while back, and they are very tight going into some parts. They still fit though, just require some extra pressure. I'm guessing the tolerances are a little off compared to the bearings I've bought from both online and local hobby shops.

yeah, it may very well be the part itself, not the bearing

That's another option as well. I've also seen an instance where metal shaft to metal bushing contact created enough heat to warp the surrounding plastic, though this is unlikely in steering blocks.
