Default Covering colors.....

I just got a hold of a Great Planes "Big stick" and need to recover it. I thought this would be a great plane to try out that "Tampa Bay Buccaneers" scheme I've been thinking about. The problem is I can't seem to find pewter colored covering ANYWHERE and it's a must! Any ideas on where I can get some. Thanks

Never seen pewter colored covering. You might find one of the greys that's close, but....

Hey agent bishop,

Don't forget, covering can be painted as well.

I've seen some pretty neat airplanes that were paint on covering.

Your local sign shop can order lots and lots of colors of sign vinyl, or you can order it from Regal Plastics. The location in Joplin, MO, is familiar with modeling because they sell coroplast to SPADDers.

There are other suppliers, too. Search in the SPAD forum for plastic suppliers.

One of their greys or silvers should work fine. A 15" X 10' roll should be about $10-$15. Metalic or irridescent is slightly higher. Same stuff as trim sheet.
