Default DLE 222

Got a DLE222.
Put it in a 3.3 Yak. Stock mufflers...
34-10 two blade prop....Almost 6000 rpm in the air. Idle about 1000....

The Yak had an Aerrow 200 in it...If flew VERY well all week at Joe Nall..
The 222 turns the same prop 4 to 500 rpm faster..
The Yak weighs 48 lbs...The rear cylinders are baffled...
It thinks it's a foamy..
One flip starts after initial start in the morning.
The hub was .0015 off, I fixed it in my milling machine..
There will be Youtube video..
First thing the pilot (Donnie Corum) said was "This thing rocks"..
Anyone wants to put something about any other flat 4 cylinder engine, be my guest..This one is defiinitely a keeper....
There is a YouTube video of this pilot and Yuri Higuchi flying together will some smaller planes..

The more cylinders the cooler the engine.

When you make that video please please please no music. I just want to hear the music of the engine.

The Eagle Tree and smoke system will be installed later...
Baffles WORK, our twin race engine is very well baffled and it really helped...

Yep, I do. But if you want to stay hidden, better change your grammar. An ol' fox like you should be able to.

I like my grammar, it's correct...Unpopular with some, but grammatically correct...And correctly spelled...Can't hide from these moderators, the web information tells all....

Very cool sound! Much nicer sounding than the twins IMO. Wonder how much more pull this has vs a DA170? I've seen that AW Ultimate set up with a DA170 and it looks like it works pretty well; this thing looks great!

It pulls about the same as the 170 on pipes. It actually has more power, but weighs 2 pounds more. The best thing is the throttle response and the smoothness. Very little vibration and silky smooth throttle. Plus it sounds freaking cool!!!!
I believe the muffler problem has been resolved. A friend had the original muffs and I just ran a bead around the down pipe and all is well.
