Radio Help (again)
Hey all, I posted this question a couple months back and didnt get many response's so I'll Try again,
Whats a good radio setup for a gas boat?? Im looking at the Futaba 3pmX its $179 with receiver and its 2.4 ghz.
Ive herd from some people that water will absorb 2.4 ghz frequncey is this accurate?? also it says that it will
work with a receiver that has a "d.a.d" function dual antena ? Thanks again for any input Paul

RE: Radio Help (again)
I think the older Spectrum 2.4 systems had this problem and I think they resolved this issue with a special marine type of receiver. With the Futaba Faast 3pm you won't have this problem. I use it myself and have no complaints.

RE: Radio Help (again)
I run a Futaba 3PK with the 2.4 ghz module upgrade. I have to say that it is the best investment that I have made in the hobby. I run the 603 FS receivers in multiple boats off the 3PK and this system is extremely reliable. Once upon a time I had the Spektrum system that ended in disaster (The bouncing signal off water BS). After knocking around with an FM system for a year, I bumped up to Futaba 2.4 because radio interference drove me nuts. Futaba 2.4 is awsome, reliable and the range is incredible. The system that you are thinking about is a good one. If I had to do it over again, I would have went with the less expensive Futaba 3pmX.

I also have the 3PKS 2.4 with the RFS receiver (dual antenna) & best investment for a big boat that costs as much as they do.
