I would like to try to put an Airworld L-39 main fuel tank in my Jet Legend L-39. Anybody out there done this or know if it will or will not work ?
I need the main tank for the Airworld 1/5 scale L-39 if anybody has one to sell or knows of somebody who might have one.
Thanks

I have both the JetLegend L-39 and the Airworld L-39. The tank for the Airworld L-39 will fit into the JetLegend fuselage if you make the hole bigger. The width is fine, the tank is less than 6 inches wide, but it is over 8 inches tall so you will need to remove a bit of the bulkhead behind the rear seat to get it in. It is the same length as the JL tanks - 8 1/2 inches so pipe fittings should be fine.
For greater fuel capacity for the JL L-39 I fitted a third tank above the 2 standard JL tanks. So now it holds nearly 4 ltrs of fuel or can use the same third tank for smoke oil rather than fuel.
The Airworld tanks can have pin-hole leaks so it is worth leak checking it before you fit it.
