Turbo Plug for a Novarossi RS12?
Hey folks!
I'm new to the world of turbo. I need to know what to run on a Novarossi RS12T5S1 I just bought off ebay.
I'm going to be using the same 22%nitro/15% oil I use in my .21 for now. I might bump up the castor a bit to make it 18% oil just for break in.
What glow plug should I use?
I know it cant be hot because its a small engine and slightly high nitro content.. So I'm prolly lookin at a 5-6?
Any reccomendations would be appreciated! Its been a while since I ran a 12. and I've never run a turbo.
Thanks!
Ram

read somewhere in the novarossi or rb web pages they mention
the ideal plug for you...
it all depend on
1. nitro content
2. outside temperature

where i am its ideal using a cold turbo plug no. 7(rb) as for novarossi they have 7c / 7f...f is the cold one...

As a general rule of thumb, "The more power the engine can develop, the more retarded the timings should be". As the colder plugs burn the fuel later (retarded), the smaller engines should use a hotter plug.
