Default F-104

Nice F-104 pics, I built two of them. Didn`t have enough guts to fly without the wing tanks like you have. I bet it makes the jet fly better, nice and clean.

Default Tip Tanks

Vin,

I did the first 20 flights (including my spin) with the tip tanks in place. Then I spoke with Avonds and reduced the roll rate by 30% before flying without. As you know you loose about 1.5" of wingtip as they go over the ends in a scalelike manner. I also wanted to loose the 12oz they weigh. It flies pretty much the same without them, but I did gain some acceleration and mph's.

Default F-104

AAAA,

I guess I was also using the tip tanks as a visual reference for flight, without them its a different profile. It looks like you have the landings mastered as well. Mine were hit or miss!!

Default Biggest jet

Hi Eddie, its Vin in Arizona.

I knew you would find this web site and top everyone with this MONSTER JET!!

Good effort on the "rig" its unique. Even if it fails as a Vtol jet you will still have a cool looking conventional sport jet to blast around in.

Eddie,

That is one incredible machine! I love the pics of the kids sitting on it.

Good luck with the VTOL project.

And the original Isobar, the very first one after Eddie wore it out then handed it down to me. This was at a fun fly in Mobile Alabama on a polo field.

You have to shrink them small enough to be uploaded by the site, then pick the attach file button and find it, then submit your reply, make sense? I can shrink them if you need.
