Hey guys,

I got the new bearings installed in my engine. As per your suggestions I cleaned it thoroughly with acetone and then used plenty of green loctite. It will have plenty of time to dry as I can't test it until next weekend at the soonest. Hopefully its not snowing, I'm anxious to see how this will work.

hi Jezmo my front seal on my dl50 is leaking is this hard to repair and should I change all the bearings ?

my front bearing has oil running out of it looks ten times worse than yours Squeaky!

I'm not Jezmo, but the front bearing is a snap to replace if you have a tool to pull the hub. As cheap as they are I would replace them both front and rear while I was at it.There could be an issue though, some of the early DL engine's had a cast pocket and was not machined, But even those can be fixed sometimes with green lock tite or re machining the bore and adding a bushing. That depends on just how bad things are. Some pics might help but as a rule I fit the bearing to the bore to see just how much clearance I have(IF ANY) and go from there.

Cyberwolf I pulled the front bearing off and thought well if oil is seeping out of the front bearing it must be seeping threw the rear seel bearing aswell yes?
