Default RE: electric verses nitro

well.....can u get an electric to jump a house like in the one video?
Sure you can.
I will admit that there isn't ANY electric that comes stock comparable in speed to a nitro vehicle. But when outfitted with a brushless system and quality batteries the difference is definately noticeable. Stock, nitro has the advantage, but half of the R/C hobby is modifying and tinkering. One reason electric can be made is faster is the "tuneability" of the motor, the same can't be said with a nitro motor. Nitro you can bore the engine, add a tuned pipe, and adjust the gearing. Electric has the option of changing power usage, take-off, and many other options.

What makes it so much more "fun"?

I would probably say the sound and noise the engine makes. And maybe the smoke.

Thats nice and all, but if you live in a quiet neighborhood, neighbors probably wouldnt think its as fun as we would.

The smell of nitro exhaust is an afrodisiac, if they made cologne in that scent I would buy it.

IMO nitro is more fun but it is always nice to have an electric near by for when your truck is calling your name before the sun rises
