My last little hint is... Do not break the tabs off... I use a razor saw with a block supporting the other side..

I'm not going to say this is not the easiest plane to build but it is not all that difficult either just take your time and follow the directions..

P.S. Remember the crazy legs are for practice and Carbon Fiber are being Cool...[8D]

Couldn't agree more! Did that with my first one and it ended up being an ass trying to get the capstrips on with some of the rib missing. On my second one, i did the same thing you did and capstrips were much easier!

1. After you get the top done be sure that when you flip the wing over to do the bottom that you support it as good and straight as you did the for the top.
Not the best pic but you can see the blocks under the main spar... I pin the whole wing back down and check it with a straight edge again before putting the sheeting on.

you know..I thought about that when I built mine. I didn't end up supporting it when I flipped it over, I hope she turned out o.k.

It looks straight though.

I have finished mine and really didnt think to much more about it... The wing was the only thing that required doing things a little different... The rest of the stuff builds pretty much straight forward... I have done 9 of these Birds and they are all by the plans..
The last 2 are for me, hopefully they will last me until the season is over... If not I still have my Burrito!!! There are alot of good building threads on the Sledge I just wanted to point out a few things that gave me trouble...

Happy Building, And remember a MAN needs his wood...
