RE: Fusion F3D
Mike, Its bigal here. Have you figured a price range for this thing yet. I don't really have time to build, but I'm going to have one of these. Will a YS 110 be OK for this bird.

YS 110 would be the ideal engine of choice for sure. Price will be in line with the other 90 size birds around the 150 mark but I don't have a final estimate on the laser cutting yet and that's the biggest cost driver.

RE: Fusion F3D
Just an FYI, next week we start taking orders for the Fusion F3D. Here are some more pics of the detail and wing installation.
The CF beam support is strong, real strong. Mike put a car battery in the middle of it while on 2 supports holding it. Get pics of that soon. Next he's going to try 2 car batteries!
The manual will be posted very soon so you can see this new type of construction.

RE: Fusion F3D
Well since I finally got to fly it I can answer some questions.
The motor in the pic is the OS .91. I'd say the biggest you'd want to go is 1.08 for 2 st. The OS .91 rips the plane around pretty good.
Not sure of the servos, have to look for some close up shots.
I will say that this is Mike's best piece so far, it's going to bring a lot of smiles to a lot of owners.

Os .91 with experimental pipe that we will soon have along with the other pipes. Plenty of power with that setup. The OS stock muffler does not even come close so toss that! Servos are Futaba digitals with roughly 100 oz torque. Very quick and precise. This one I built for John Drake who like pattern flying. Mine is going to have Hitec's new 6635 digital Karbonite servos. I'm sold on the Karbonite gears...no slop baby and they don't wear like the metal gears! As far as engine choices pretty much anything that would be good choice for a 9o size ship. 4 strokes up to 120 would even work I'm sure. Might even handle a 2-stroke 120 with added tail weight??
Wood is on order for first kit run and getting laser parts will follow after the wood arrives. I'd estimate shipping in three weeks.

This is the 90 size Fusion F3D. Hince the OS .91 engine. 40 size is flying now but I still want to fix a few bugs in it. That will be the next one probably ready this fall.

RE: Fusion F3D
Mike do you think something like the Super Tigre .90 will be able to fly this plane well? I know the OS is a little bit stronger so I don't want to push my luck with the ST as I'm already nearly 5k ASL?
