Man I'd looked at the other cowls team striker made for this cat and wasnt very impressed with them at all! After being ridacualed last night about my cowl wasnt feeling good about it. I kind of liked my cowl? But saw this cat and wished I had the funds to get that hull!! But I'm going to make a phone call to expresscraft and find out on the cost of this cowl?? Love the looks of it,but I have to get measurements to see how close it will fit on my cat,If need to I'll custom fit it to my cat!

Hope I wasnt one of those doing the ridiculing. I was just wondering about the style and how it would work out. As I mentioned - it is somethig you should test and see - not abandon.

Here are pics of the Expresscraft thunderbolt cown on the Offshore hobbies cat

Keep in mind before going too far what type of exhaust system that you want to use, a wrap to center or one that will fit under the hatch and exit out of the transom. You really don't want to go hog wild on customizing a hatch if later on you're going to have to hack it up to put a pipe in.

Ok I emailed expresscraft about cost of the thunderbolt cowl today. Now I'd only taped the tail fins on just to see how it would look like?[&:]

If I were you I would stick with the cowl you have. A good look and I think those fins will be fine

What paint scheme do you have in mind

Ok got a mail from expresscraft. cost 40 for the cowl and measurements are 11" by 20 1/4". I'm thinking on getting that cowl and making it fit on my cat plus maybe finish this cowl. So I can have two cowls to sport this boat off with.[8D]

I might? But like I said before I saw some of them team striker cowls and I though there ugly. They dont make the boat look like a true looking or racing cats? I like the thunderbolt cowl. I'm going to make a template of the base so when I do get that cowl.I can set it up just wright.[8D]

miss hydro i was recently informed you are a lady which i think is awesome females in this sport and all any way just thought i would pas along some info on the super cat as i have one i was getting speeds of 49 to 51 mph gps on slightly rough water but something i found out was that the hull should be reinforced up in the nose area between the sponsons i flipped it several times last year and one time evan on a gentle flip when the nose hit the water it split the hull there. on my new supercat i am going to fiberglass a strip in that area as well as put somekinda support for that wide area about 3/4 of the way up to the nose just thought i would pass that along by the way i totally love the way you added that air induction to your cowl i was actually telling my buddy thats what i thought the cowl should have evan before i saw yous very nice work you do cant wait to see it when you are finished heres a couple pics of my latest project then on to my new supper cat
