I'm not sure if Thomas still has his Leonardo. I bought mine used and it is a really great flying aerobatic jet (which is what I wanted to get).
Here are the dimensions (Length) of the pushrods that are on my Leo. These are center to center of the bolts:
Ailerons: 5 7/8 inches.
Elevator: 3 7/8 inches.
Rudder: 5 3/8 inches.
Hope that helps.
Wayne

As far as I know, the tank holds 5 liters of fuel.

When I was setting up my second Leonardo, I was able to get the Factory throws which are listed below:
Ailerons......20mm
Elevators....20mm
Flaps T/Off 40mm
Flaps Landing 85mm

On my second Leonardo, my settings are quite different and I measured them in degrees:
Left Aileron: 25 degrees up, 19 degrees down
Right Aileron 25 degrees up 17 degrees down
Elevator 14 degrees up 19 degrees down
Flaps T/Off. 14 degrees
Flaps Landing 45 degrees.
Rudder....To your liking.

Hi Wayne, beautiful jet, I’ve have one and often challenged with landing, which is crazy it’s such an easy jet to fly, I don’t think my landing flaps are down as much, I have the perfect approach and I have had it snap on me at 3 feet ( obviously too slow) and lots of ugly bouncing and certainly a floater. What CG are you set at.

thank you

Angus

In case someone needs it, I still have a nice CM-Jets kevlar fuel & smoke tank combo that fits a 3m Leonardo. It holds 6l of fuel and 1.5l of smoke oil. I also have a set of custom Revoc wing bags for this plane. Shoot me a PN in case anyone is interested.

Thomas

Hey there Angus, I started off at 30.5cm from the leading edge at the root. Right after the first flight, I realized that it was really nose heavy as To balance it, I had to add 1.5lbs of dead weight, even though I had 4 batteries up front. I also had to push a lot when I was I was inverted. I eventually ended up taking out 1.25 lbs out and she flies very well and stable. You definitely need the 45 degrees of flaps to land her. My technique now is the deploy the gear & first flap to start slowing her down. On the downwind leg, I go to full flaps and keep in a little throttle with a 180 degree nose down turn onto final. That way, she will keep flying and when I make the threshold I cut back to idle. You have to wait for the ground effect & grass or asphalt will happen differently.

I think because you don’t have as much flaps, she will keep floating and when it stalls, she is going to drop. Keep in touch! 👍 BTW.....As Thomas indicated earlier in his thread, the flaps will squeal....I like to hear it as I know it’s deployed, so it doesn’t bother me.

Takeoff was a bit iffy trying to get on the centerline but worked.

Flight was quite nice with not many errors, you've been practising and it shows....👍

The landing which is IMHO, the most difficult part of learning to fly jets, was OUt STANDING with that crosswind.

Congrats, looked great overall,

Zeeb

THANKS very much! Yep.... I fly from a grass runway and it is not as apparent (take-off) as it is on an asphalt runway. On my steering (GS200 controller) I used the steering gyro setting that was suggested in another thread here. I actually never experimented with that setting, but found that the crosswind, steering gyro & I were all doing different things on the take-off. I'll try to do better next time.
