I bought a “caster wheel”
and removed that wheel. Easy engineering stuff to accomplish. The aft wheels of a Boeing 777 works exactly the same way. 😂

Just finished watching that video. Sorry to see his jet go down, looked like there may have been an issue with his left flap setup. If you look at the ground roll you can see his left flap was noticeably lower than the right and his trim in the ailerons had input to compensate for that. During the flight it in general the plane looked unstable at times, but I think it may be that the dual rate setting was too low. I think what happened was when he throttled up the jet picked up quite a bit of speed and the left flap caused a bit of a yaw and the combination of the trim and bank angle sent it over and straight into the ground. Not much time to react in that situation unfortunately. That's my opinion but maybe the pilot said something different, but I don't speak his language (Italian?).

Very unfortunate! I hate seeing that happen.
As mentioned, it looked a bit unstable and maybe a bit touchy on the elevator.
I wonder where the C.G. was set for?
Could it have been tail heavy?
I doubt if moving the battery would have made much difference, it takes a bunch of lead right up in front to get this thing to balance at the factory recommend C.G. point and even at that I think that is still a bit tail heavy.

The take-off is very easy and after rotating give some right rudder so the Dolly drove in the hands of my friend. 😉

I ordered one of these from Digi-Tech today, the picture showed a red scheme like the one Didier is flying, I hope that is the color I get. They said they were in stock so it will be interesting to see how long it takes to get it here on the west coast of the US. I will be powering mine with a spare X45 I have that needs a home, so I ordered it with the X45 brackets. I also ordered the dolly. I noticed that some folks make the rear wheels steerable, and some make the front wheels steerable, any feedback as to pros/cons of the two configurations? Also, regarding servos, I've got a bunch of Savox 1250MG servos laying around, anyone know if these would these work in this aircraft? Some of my take-offs will be off paved runway so I will be installing the brake mod that DrScoles did for his dolly. I'm pretty stoked about this one, I hope to have it ready for the summer flying season. -Tom

It builds pretty fast Tom. The servos have to be pretty thin. Don't know how much it matters where the steering is. You are using a tiny bit of travel just to keep it on course, not enough to turn and taxi out.... You could do that, but you will have to put the wheels quite a ways out. Still haven't flown mine... soon though!

MKS 6130 or KST X10 are very good wing servos.

Regarding the steering wheels.
-I am an B777 engineer and did get the idea from the aft steering wheels of the main gear of the B777.
-As the Leading edges of the Jeemo “pushes” the Dolly, I did not wanted to upset the “front” during steering. In the end I think both systems front or rear will do the job.
I use the recommended KST X10 servos.
