RE: 3 engine T Maxx
OK, first, all three engines power the same spur gear on the trans. The reciever is located on a plate between the fwd body posts. The fuel tanks are mounted on a shelf about 1" above the chassis with all of the wiring between 2 steering servos ( one on each side). This truck has broken about every part you can think of, even stuff it shouldn't break. It has a ton of power (8HP) and yes it does run. With steel CVDs and driveshafts, full metal trans and racing gears with rear spool it is at the point where I can actually drive it for more than a few minutes.

Actually as you can imagine, HP is not a problem so I run them a little rich and they don't overheat. Tuning wasn't really a problem, I just broke them in 1 at a time and set the idles separately. The hardest part was making all 3 throttles work together. Aside of that on all of the initial part breakage it was a fun project. Thanks!

could you show us some pic of the custom parts you made and could you get some close up pic of the 3 engine where the clutch bells are meshing with the main gear

Yes I did them 1 at a time. I have new pics and a short video if I can download it. This week I installed RPM A arms, aluminum bulkheads, diff cases and chassis braces to help with parts breakage. I can actiually drive it around on one engine, but it is not that fast because of the gearing.

Yes all 3 throttles are linked together. An airplane guy at my local hobby shop showed me these adapters that you can plug all 4 servos into (3 throttle and 1 brake) and they all plug into the reciever together. When I hit the gas all 4 work together and because of the slide rod on each engine I can adjust each engine. At first I was going to do progressive throttles but that was boring, full throttle launches on 8 HP are much more fun.

So you guys want me to give up all my secrets? I will post pics of the mount and parts soon. This week I installed aluminum diff cases, bulkheads and chassis braces, and it seems to work better. New pics soon!
