I will try to post it here. Its dxf ver 12. shouldnt be a prob to open with most cad's. I also made and sent a file to the laser cutter. It contains the ribs and the ply motor mount. I should know what's going on with that on tue or wed.

all right guys, just heard from the laser cutter.
cost: 4.42 plus 6.95 shipping
That will get you the ribs and the ply for the nose. I did the ply in 1/32. I guess you could tell him that you want it in 1/16 if thats what you want.

Free plans ?
Have to say it's good to see more guys willing to share their plans. Maybe it'll force Morris and the like to sell their kits for a more reasonable price or compel them to extend their market to our little island on the other side of the pond.
Does anyone know of a free profile plan that would be good for a Laser 150sn (www.laserengines.com). I'm getting a bit addicted to this profile business and would like a 70"+ version of something like the Taco. I'm not a CAD man so I wouldn't know how to size up the Taco to this.

to resize the taco would be a big pain. You would have to add ribs and some new structure. Check out Ohio model's. They have a 80" 540 profile the use's a os 1.6 or moki 2.1. Not sure what motor you have but you Could take a look.

Would any of your guys that have built a taco or downloaded the plans like to make any suggestions on improving it? I could make the changes to make it easier for building...
I just flew mine today... Man... I really like this thing now..... Flys as good as my 40 size SuDoKhoi.

Paul,
You flew today, it's a little cold for that today up here. What do you think of the laser deal DA KING was talking about? Sounds like a deal to me.

Sounds awesome.... Lazer cut parts for scratch building is the way to go..... You could probably even cut the price down a little if he ships things priority mail.... the shipping would only be $3.65... I think I used 1/32 for the fuse doublers.

I don't think there is much more you could do to the plans. I think the only way to make it more clear would be to do up a instruction manual for not so experienced builders. I bet that would be extremely time consuming and a lot of hard work, to the point of seeing if anyone wants to kit it or at least getting some cash for it. As far as the completed fuse and wing, they seem like they will be plenty strong  On a not so serious note, I think you should change the name to Swany-Khoi

I like it "Swany-Khoi", very creative. But to be fair to Troy Smith how about "Swany-Khoi T2".
Da King
Can you tell me who quoted you the laser cutting? I would like to contact them. Thanks

Sorry to be a pain but the email did not work.
"Message from yahoo.com.

If you go to www.mchse.com it's a small engine shop. Are you sure the mchse is correct? Thanks for your help.

Swany-Khoi?? I love it!! That's sorta what this thing turned out to be.... I started with Troy's plans... Then decided I wanted a tripple tapered wing... So I looked at some scaled down fun design plans and some scalled down pro twister plans... and then I looked at the pen knife plans... then my 40 size sudokhoi plans..... This is what I came up with....

I went to the website... thought maybe there would be a live Swany cam setup, with occasional shots of Paul building at the workbench even so, its a nice website.
Hey Blackbird,
you look at the website? so that wings suppose to be built with shims under the wingtips???? hmm.... oh well...

LOL Kevin....!! I'll have to look at doing the SwanyCam.....
That wing builds flat and upside down.... no shims.... Just like the SuDoKhoi wing and many of the other Morris kits.....

Hey boys and toys, would a NIB 0S.40 LA work ok on this plane? I happen to have one laying around.....
I've been tempted to scratch up another MAN Profile HOTS, but had lost my plans and templates. This design looks really great, and easy to build, also...

I think the 40 is only an ounce or two heavier the the Irvine .25 I used.... I'm guessing it would work... You'd probably have to open up the motor mount beams a little...
