RE: Yet another Composite-Arf 2.6 330L is...
Update:
I have come to the conclusion the instruction manual SUX. It would be very difficult to assemble one of these without having seeing one already built. You pretty much have to make it up as you go. Engine install was a bit hit and miss because, even though the instruction manual said there are markings for a DA100 bolt pattern, there wasn't anything to indicate vertical or horizontal thrust lines. I looked under the best light possible and I did see very minor ripples in the gelcoat that would indicate such mount hole positions, so I went with them and drilled the firewall for my Brison 6.4. I lucked out and hit the lines just right. I now have the engine, ignition, switch and battery installed, plus the canopy is glued to the hatch frame. I marked and drilled the landing gear struts, and I think my gear mount nuts were pre-installed too far in. The curved part of the strut is inside the fuselage side, requiring some pre-stress on the mount to completely tighten the outboard mount bolts. I'll mill out the fuselage sides to make it fit better. I also finished cutting out the cowl, and had to make holes above each cylinder for the plug caps, a la Brison and their upwards pointed plugs. The top of the cowl will be a dark blue matching the bottom of the wings, so they won't stick out like a sore thumb.
Here's some pics of progress:

Erich you are right about the manuel. It was really interesting when it said to see picture and there was none. The plane was actually very easy to complete though.
I read a trick for mounting the engine. (There were no dimples on mine)
Taped the fuse to a ladder vertically, set the engine on the dome.
Then put cowl and spinner all on. They recommended 5'' some use less. (pre approxamte Rt. thrust)
Line eveything up and carefully remove spinner and cowl.
Mark holes and drill.
On the landing gear I just moved the blind nuts over, One gear was so short I would have to butcher the fuse way to much to make it lay flat on the mount.
