I bet a 3W 60 on a Extra Special is a rocket when pulling out of a hover. Have you ever thought of trying a 24x8?

Okay F1, went back through the plane tonight final check over. Mixed the gas and have her on charge. Weather permitting tomorrow is the day of reckoning I will let you know how the 3W 60 performs and of course how the extra flies

Okay Maiden flight this morning the 3W started easily,I followed the starting procedure to the "T" no problems at all this engine I feel will do anything I want with this plane but also it is not over powered (it seems to be under control at all times) I feel I made a good choice here and after flying this combo would recommend it to anyone Idle was a little higher than I would like, it made landing a little more difficult than I like but tomorrow I will see if she can idle a little lower I did not want to push it too far today but I couldn,t help get a little nuts with it pulls straight up like a rocket with a real smooth transition " Great Motor!!!!!"

Oh yeah I almost forgot The Wild Hare 300 Special is a truly "FANTASTIC" plane Thanks Tom

I have Tom's Edge and brit's Extra Special balanced with a 3W 60 up front. Do you guys think I would be able to accomplish the same in mine with a pull-pull set up?

The 3W 60 is a heavy engine so you think it would require to mount the servo's in the tail to get it to balance like with a G62. However, Brit (guy who posted in this forum) set his Extra Special with a 3W 60 and was able to use a pull-pull set up without adding weight to the tail. So if it worked with an Extra Special, would it work with an Edge?

Ben, my extra special balanced at the 2.5 inch mark on the wing tips with the 3W 60 i used a pull pull set- up
I do not think I am going to be able to move anything to get it back any further unless I add weight or maybe a smoke system I have been thinking about using some old servo cases in the cutouts to obtain a 3-3.5 inch balance but for now It will do me just fine where it is I have just finished initial break in on my motor and all is truly great with plane I have been doing only basic imac patterns and such no flat spins and I really do not think It will do them with the c.g where it is now but then I have not tried it yet, good luck
