By the way, I forgot to congratulate you on the maiden flight. I hope you get the oppourtunity to bring it to Denmark next year.

Nice looking Eurosport.
I am just finishing an old Eurosport kit that I traded for. I have carried out all the recommended modifications.
What is the best way to use the canards. Is it best to mix them with the elevators, or as I have done, put them on an aux channel using a rotary knob to set them just for take off & landing & neutral for flight.
Regards

RE: Eurosport II maiden
Hi Jim.
I have owned two EuroSports and I have seen a lot of them fly. There is no best way, I think. Try and fly the Euro with the canards mixed to the elevator. Then try and fly it without the canards active. See how you like it and make up you mind. The EuroSport can actually fly without the canards fittet. One thing is for sure, though. Your take-off role will be shorter, if you use the canards. Personally I like to have the canards active during flight. That suits my flying style best.
Good luck.

I know I will love it a lot.
I would love to come to one of your events in 2005! After all, it is just a ferry trip and a few hours in the car.
It was great meeting you Danes at our jet meet in August!

staale flyes it at -3 celcius outside
the turbine is like whoehaaaaa in these colds
i am sure is is getting 17 to 18 kilo,s
correct me if i am wrong staale but since you have almost the same setup as me
you must be looking at 15 kilo,s with dry tanks but full hopper?
so fueled up it must be about 18 kilo,s and still going vertical

Just went down to the basement and weighed it. 13.9 kg. or 30.75 lbs dry. I use a Du-Bro 20 oz tank with anti bubble clunk as a pick-up tank from the main tanks and no hopper. The Du-Bro tank was empty.
I have a total of 4.4 liters on board, so that should make the max take off weight around 17.5 kg or 38.73 lbs..
And yes... I thought I heard the turbine say something like 'yeeeehaaaaaa' during the verticals in the cold temps....
